She's back!
I was having some problems getting her to start up, so after fruitlessly searching for a solution at Apple's Web site, I finally put in for a service detail. This made me unhappy, as I knew I would have to send the poor thing back to Apple for what I expected would be a couple weeks. Last Wednesday (just over a week ago) I put in on Apple's Web site that I wanted to service my nano, which was still under warranty.
The shipping box arrived Friday on my desk at work. I took it home, packaged up my sick nano (whose name is Eva by the way), and Monday morning I brought it to work and dropped it in the DHL box downstairs.
Wednesday (this week) I get an email at 2pm saying, "This is Apple, we received your nano and we're checking it out." One hour later, 3pm, another email arrives the says, "Checked it out, got it working, it's on its way back to you. Look for it in two business days." So I'm like, sweet! I'll have her by Friday. She actually showed up on Thursday, good as new!
And I do mean good as new. I didn't get my exact unit back, I got another one of the same model and capacity. Only this one has *no* scratches whatsoever on its face or metal side. Not that the scratches were a big deal, but I made them before I got my case for it. Now that I have my case, this thing is going to be babied like china.
Anyway, it's been a while since I updated here, so I thought I'd share the good news.
