This campaign was conceived to reach high school and college students without coming off as preachy. By using humor/parody to deliver a message about the [decidedly unhumorous] dental hygiene product, this campaign ‘borrows’ the hip-and-cool language of iPod advertising and makes the product its punchline. The tagline also connects the incongruous product with that of the original. This campaign could continue to parody other well-known advertisements, substituting the floss for the other products.
